Pensby Road
Project Updates
-
Pensby Road development is now complete... not sure if this picture can be classed as 'arty' or just blurred! I think it looks good! -
Just in case... -
Car Park looks great -
-
The corner living rooms -
And in the other direction - the kitchen -
The living / dining room overlooking the garden with the unique 'fin' design -
Lower ground floor living room looking into garden -
The kitchen area -
View of garden from front elevation -
The end is in site we're nearly there ..... This is the brew station in the corner of the Communal Lounge. This will be used boy both staff and residents for visitors or functions within this space, using the same high quality kitchen as those within each of the apartments. -
The lower ground floors to the garden area are now in focus...... not too picturesque at the moment but they will be transformed very soon -
-
-
The front area looking a tad messy as we move to the externals -
The car park too... -
Render complete, windows sealed - we also assisted with the staff recruitment for the scheme for our Care Partner with the wrapped banner! The old sandstone wall has now been removed to be replaced with wrought iron fencing. The Sandstone posts have been preserved and will be relocated to the front gateway -
The Communal Lounge is now plastered ready for its 'mist' coat -
The high quality kitchen is looking great! Hmmm... might pilfer this colour scheme for home! -
The Car Park side of the building looking impressive with the feature metal cladding - It will look more so after the car park works! -
The residents lounge is beginning to take shape -
This is the Hallway on the ground floor just inside the building from the main Reception area -
Flooring contractor been hard at work.... wet rooms looking good porcelain going in -
Bedroom looking great.... bit of a mop and we good to go! -
Scaffold tower in place prepping for the render and sealing the corner windows -
Meanwhile inside...... corridors coming along -
This is the main entrance lobby with the staff office window on the right -
Happy New Year to All from Verum Victum Healthcare - we hope you have a happy and healthy one! Our Pensby Road development is speeding ahead with a concentrated effort to complete the externals. The scaffold is sitting outside the scheme office and Communal Lounge areas -
To the right of the main entrance you can see what looks like 'fins', these are in fact unique feature windows within the upper floor apartments -
The features of some of the apartments are now becoming clearer - this is one of the corner living rooms -
This is a bedroom window overlooking Pensby Rd -
The tilers are now entering the picture and beginning to work on the wetrooms -
Kitchen fitters are doing a great job in the other room -
Boys doing a great job of boarding and plastering - this picture shows ceiling boards -
This picture shows the boarding after the 'mist' coat of paint in one of the upper floor rooms -
Following the 'mist' coating we apply two coats of emulsion and the joiners follow once the paint is dry with the installation of the kitchens -
Now we move inside and begin the boarding out and plastering -
-
We have a roof! this is the view from the garden side with the communal Lounge on the ground floor -
This is the view from the car park -
Its all looking very grand and coming along nicely -
-
View Car Park side, Sandy Lane -
The contemporary design of the build requires a little inventiveness for the roof structure - this month sees the beginnings of the roof being put together -
-
Looked better in the sunshine! -
Frames being delivered -
Reaching upper level roofing - all looking good in the lovely Wirral sunshine -
Lower level roofing being installed -
Windows being installed -
Some Fantastic Aerial shots of the site and how much the build has progressed - Again we would like to thank our neighbours for their patience during the heavy works and give our assurances that we are doing our utmost to minimise noise and disruption in the area during these phases -
-
All looking very busy from this height! Starting the lower roof construction -
The inner walls are beginning to give shape to the interior of the build -
Swiftly approaching the next floor - the windows on the second floor are arranged as 'fins' to give a unique feature to the build - not very clear to see as yet - this is the view 'garden' side -
Weather still holding for the boarding of the first floor -
View from Pensby Road depicting the finished development -
Looking skyward ! -
Lovely view as we build higher - lucky with weather too -
All looking good! -
Construction of the ground floor moving quickly - once again we thank the local residents for their support during this phase of the construction -
The facing bricks providing an example of the look of the building -
The rooms and corridors beginning to take shape -
Foundations being laid and the outline taking shape -
Now the site is cleared we can begin the drainage and foundations -
Not for long..... let the fun begin..... on with the drainage -
VVHC would like to thank the local residents for their patience during this phase of the construction -
After spending 8 weeks clearing the Pensby Road site we are now commencing groundworks. The site in its original state - situated on the corner of Pensby Road and Sandy Lane, Heswall was terrifically overgrown. -
The house on the site was deemed irreparable and so was removed -
The site took a number of weeks to clear to make way for the new development
